It’s not often that we have an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy for the next generation and the generations to follow. But we are living at this historic point in Holy Cross’ history.

Iconography is a reflection of the divine becoming visible –

St. John of Damascus wrote, “In times past, God, without body and form, could in no way be represented.  But now, since God has appeared in the flesh and lived among men, I can depict that which is visible of God.  I do not venerate the matter, but I venerate the Creator of matter, who became matter for me, who condescended to live in matter, and who, through matter, accomplished my salvation; and I do not cease to respect the matter through which my salvation is accomplished.”

Please join us in this historic moment and give a legacy gift knowing that this offering will stand until the Lord returns in glory. On behalf of the Iconography Committee, we are very grateful for your support and appreciate any contribution to this important milestone in our Church. The generations to follow that will enter Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church will benefit long into the future!

May you and your family be blessed for what you can offer this important project. All donation amounts are appreciated and can contribute to the overall project or join with others for a specific icon. Please contact Vasso Paliouras, Fundraising Chairperson, with any questions or specific requests.

The Iconography Project will be installed in the summer of 2025. The goal for all donations are to be fulfilled by December 31, 2026.

Yours in Christ,
Fr. Michael Kallaur, Parish Priest
